Module 3 Skills Laborator

  • 3 full days of skills training, small group practice, coached by Professor Daniel
    Wong and experienced CBT practitioners.
  • To learn how to use different cognitive behaviour therapy techniques and tools
    in providing counseling service.

Time: 10a.m. – 6p.m.

 

Module 4 Clinical Supervision

  • 15 hours of individual supervision will be offered by experienced CBT practitioners to each trainee on case work, group work or workshop within 6 months. Trainees must prepare their own cases.
  • 6 times 3 hourly group consultations provided by Professor Daniel Wong and experienced CBT practitioners.

Duration: February to July 2026

Target Participants

  • Human service professionals: nurse, occupational therapist, psychologist, teacher, counselor, social worker, psychiatrist, physiotherapist.
  • Participants are required to hold the following qualifications:
  1. 1. A bachelor degree, and
  2. 2. Completion of the ‘3-DAY FOUNDATION TRAINING WORKSHOP IN CBT’ offered by Institute of Cognitive Therapy (ICT), Centre for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CCBT), Centre of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Education and Training for Chinese People; or an equivalent qualification from comparable institutions.

 

Admission Quota

  • 8-10 persons per group, maximum 2 groups

 

Course fee

  • HKD 22,000 (To be paid upon acceptance)

Target Participants: Nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, teachers, counselors, social workers, psychiatrist, physiotherapist and other helping professions

Entry Requirements:
  1. A bachelor degree, and
  2. The “Certificate in Fundamental Training in the
    Practice of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (Level 1)” offered by Institute of Cognitive Therapy (ICT) or Centre for Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CCBT); or an equivalent qualification from comparable institutions.
  3. Interview and/or qualifying examination to test the applicants’ abilities to follow the prescribed program may be conducted.
Application Procedures:
  1. Complete the application form to register online and upload all relevant supporting documents at the same time. The supporting documents include awards/certificates of qualification 1 and 2 stipulated in the Entry Requirements of this pamphlet. Please note that documents once submitted will not be returned, and will be destroyed if the application is unsuccessful.

How to become a Certified Cognitive Behavioral Practitioner?
Completion of Certificate in Clinical Training in the Practice of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Level I and Level II training will entitle the participant to apply for certification as a “Cognitive Behavioral Practitioner” from ICT. For more information, please refer to our website.
